Effect OF WORK ENVIRONMENT AND WORKLOAD ON TURNOVER INTENTION (Study on Courier Employees of PT Shopee Express Bandung City Branch)

Abstract

The conditions of the work environment are not conducive and the workload is quite high for the couriers of PT Shopee Express Bandung City in increasing turnover intention. The purposes of this study are 1) To determine the effect of the work environment on the turnover intention of courier employees of PT Shopee Express Bandung City. 2) To determine the effect of workload on turnover intention of courier employees of PT Shopee Express Bandung. 3) To find out how much influence the turnover intention of courier employees of PT Shopee Express Bandung City is simultaneously and partially.

The research method used is descriptive and verification analysis and operates the calculations using the SPSS 26.0 program. The variables in this study are the work environment and workload on turnover intention. Collecting data obtained through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and literature studies. Another term for saturated sample is census, where all members of the population are sampled, the sample is 58 employees of PT Shopee Express courier.

The results of this study conclude that the work environment is included in the "Very High" category. The workload is in the “Very High” category. Turnover intention is included in the "High" category. Partially the work environment has a significant effect on turnover intention, partially the workload has a significant effect on turnover intention and simultaneously the work environment and workload behavior have a significant effect on turnover intention.
