Abstract

Abstract. Alamendah Village is indicated to have good potential to develop as a sustainable halal tourism destination. However, misconceptions about halal tourism due to a lack of understanding and government intervention mean that the formation of a halal climate in Alamendah Village cannot develop further. This research aims to identify developments and formulate efforts to increase community motivation towards sustainable halal tourism in Alamendah Village. Researchers used mixed methods, namely quantitative and qualitative methods. The approach used in this research is an applied neuroscience and psychological approach by identifying conditions of motivational development through comparison of neuroscientific measurements, distribution of psychological questionnaires, and elaboration of a synthesis of research results based on the support of related literature studies. The research results show that conditions for the development of motivation tend to decline due to low public understanding due to the lack of intervention from external parties, such as the government and academics, in facilitating knowledge related to sustainable halal tourism in Alamendah Village. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate efforts to increase community motivation regarding the development of sustainable halal tourism in Alamendah Village.
