Abstract

Abstract. The high rate of child sexual abuse in West Java is partly due to children's low self-awareness of their physical, mental and environmental conditions. Self awareness is the ability to understand their own relationship with their environment, with many people, and with events that interact in daily life (Waitley, 1997). One of the prevention efforts can be done through the provision of the intervention program Aku Anak Hebat based on Body Safety Training (Sumaryati and research team, 2022) adapted from Body Safety Training (Wurtele, 1986). This intervention program contains important information that children should know to keep their bodies safe from potential sexual violence situations. The approach used was quantitative, with a Quasi experimental research method and Pre experimental one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at X public elementary school involving 18 research subjects. Data analysis was carried out with the Paired Sample T Test test. The results showed a significance value of 0.03 <0.05, which means that there is an effect of providing the Aku Anak Hebat intervention on increasing Self Awareness in grade 2 children at X public elementary school.
