Abstract

The development of the internet in the last era has become more advanced and sophisticated, and it is easily accessible to everyone. But it can be detrimental if it is not wise to use it. It will intentionally or unintentionally get information whose contents contain pornographic content in the form of images, videos, text, or telephone calls called cybersex. Most accessors of pornography on the internet are emerging adulthood individuals 18-24 years old, because this period is the right time for all changes and developments in sexuality, romantic relationships, identity, values, and increased risk behavior. The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical data on the effect of attachment style on cybersex behavior in emerging adulthood in Indonesia. This study was conducted using the causality method involving 173 respondents from various provinces in Indonesia. The measuring instrument used to measure attachment style is the Experience in Close Relationship (ECR-R) compiled by Brennan, Clark, and Shaver, which was adapted into Indonesian by Willy Steven and colleagues. For the variables of cybersex behavior, it is to use the ISST (Internet Sex Screening Test) compiled by Delmonico and Griffin, which has been adapted by Putri. The results of this study show that attachment style has a positive effect of 6.2% on cybersex behavior in Indonesia.
