Resiliensi sebagai Mediator antara Perundungan dan Subjective Well-Being Siswa SMP Korban Perundungan
Abstract
Abstract. This study aimed to investigate the role of resilience as a mediator in the relationship between bullying and subjective well-being (SWB). The participants in this study (N = 350; 53.7% female and 46.3% male) were junior high school students in Bandung City from grades 7 (n = 165; 47.1%), 8 (n = 121; 34.6%), and 9 (n = 64; 18.3%) who experienced bullying. The method used in this study was cluster random sampling which resulted in 16 schools being selected. Bullying was measured using the bullying measuring instrument, SWB was measured using the Children's Worlds Subjective Well Being Scale Five Items (CW-SWBS5) measuring instrument, and resilience was measured using the Child and Youth Resilience Measurement Revised plus Spirituality and Religiosity (CYRM-R plus S & R). Data were analyzed using regression tests with the PROCESS macro to examine the role of resilience as a mediator between bullying and SWB. Descriptive statistics were conducted using ANOVA to test the significance of the mean value of SWB and resilience. The results indicate that resilience mediates the relationship between bullying and SWB with coefficients of -.0164 (95% CI = -.7120, -.0130), indicating that resilience serves as a factor that reduces the negative impact of bullying on SWB and contributes positively to SWB.
