Abstract. Occupational safety in Crude Palm Oil (CPO) transportation is a critical concern due to the high risk of work-related accidents faced by tanker truck drivers. One factor that is assumed to influence safety behavior is safety climate, which refers to employees' perceptions of safety practices within the workplace. This study aimed to analyze the effect of safety climate on safety behavior among CPO tanker truck drivers at CV Bismillah Maju Bersama. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. The study involved 65 drivers selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Nordic Occupational Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50) and a safety behavior scale, then analyzed using simple linear regression with IBM SPSS. The results indicated that safety climate had a positive and significant effect on safety behavior (t = 41.785; p < 0.001). The correlation coefficient (R = 0.982) demonstrated a very strong relationship, while the coefficient of determination (R² = 0.965) indicated that safety climate accounted for 96.5% of the variance in safety behavior. It can be concluded that improving the workplace safety climate enhances drivers' safety behavior. Therefore, organizations should strengthen management commitment, safety communication, training, and continuous supervision to foster safer work practices
Abstrak. Keselamatan kerja pada aktivitas pengangkutan Crude Palm Oil (CPO) menjadi perhatian penting karena tingginya risiko kecelakaan yang dihadapi pengemudi truk tangki. Salah satu faktor yang diduga memengaruhi perilaku keselamatan (safety behavior) adalah safety climate, yaitu persepsi pekerja terhadap penerapan keselamatan di lingkungan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh safety climate terhadap safety behavior pada pengemudi truk tangki CPO di CV Bismillah Maju Bersama. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 65 pengemudi yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui Nordic Occupational Safety Climate Questionnaire (NOSACQ-50) dan skala safety behavior, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan bantuan IBM SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa safety climate berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap safety behavior (t = 41,785; p < 0,001). Nilai koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar 0,982 menunjukkan hubungan yang sangat kuat, sedangkan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,965 menunjukkan bahwa safety climate memberikan kontribusi sebesar 96,5% terhadap safety behavior. Disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan safety climate di lingkungan kerja akan mendorong terbentuknya safety behavior yang lebih baik. Oleh karena itu, perusahaan perlu memperkuat komitmen manajemen, komunikasi keselamatan, pelatihan, dan pengawasan secara berkelanjutan
