Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-control on binge-watching behavior among K-Drama fans in Indonesia. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 110 adolescents aged 18–22 years through a questionnaire. The measurement tools included the Self-Control Scale (SCS) and the Binge-Watching Engagement and Symptoms Questionnaire (BWESQ). The analysis results indicate that self-control has a significant impact on binge-watching behavior. Adolescents with low self-control levels are more likely to engage in excessive binge-watching, which can negatively affect their mental and physical health. This research provides insights into the importance of developing self-control as an effort to reduce excessive binge-watching behavior among adolescents.
