Hubungan Identity Fusion dengan Social Dominance Orientation pada Suporter Sepak Bola

Abstract. Conflict between football supporters in Indonesia is a complex phenomenon and often involving a range of social, cultural and emotional factors. Such conflicts can include physical clashes between different groups supporters, as well as violent incidents inside stadium or outside the stadium. Several studies have found that intergroup interactions involving identity fusion and social dominance orientation are determinants of intergroup conflict. The purpose of this study is examining the stenght relationship between identity fusion and social dominance orientation among football supporters. The subjects of this study were 138 supporters of Persib Bandung in this city of Bandung. In this study, used the Identity Fusion Verbal Scale measuring instrument by Gomez et al (2011), and SDO₇ Scale by Ho et al where used(2015). The analysis technique used was Kendall's Tau correlation test. The result of data processing is that there is no significant relationship between identity fusion and social dominance orientation among Persib Bandung football supporters in Bandung City with a value of r = .016 and a significance value of p = .810 > .05.
Abstrak. Konflik antar suporter sepakbola di Indonesia merupakan fenomena yang kompleks dan sering kali melibatkan berbagai faktor sosial, budaya, dan emosional. Konflik tersebut dapat mencakup bentrokan fisik antar kelompok suporter yang berbeda, serta insiden kekerasan di stadion atau di luar stadion.. Beberapa penelitian menemukan bahwa interaksi antar kelompok melibatkan identity fusion dan social dominance orientation menjadi faktor penentu terjadinya konflik antar kelompok. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa erat hubungan antara identity fusion dengan social dominance orientation pada suporter sepakbola. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 138 suporter Persib Bandung di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Identity Fusion Verbal Scale dari Gomez et al (2011), dan SDO₇ Scale dari Ho et al (2015). Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi Kendall’s Tau. Hasil dari olah data adalah tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara identity fusion dengan social dominance orientation pada suporter sepakbola Persib Bandung di Kota Bandung dengan nilai r = .016 dan nilai signifikansi p = .810 > .05.
