Hubungan antara Work Engagement dan Readiness for Change pada Karyawan Gen Z
Abstract
Abstract. The global workforce has undergone significant changes due to technological advancements, digitalization, and global competition, compelling organizations to continuously adapt to remain relevant (Wahyudi et al., 2023; Lord, 2020). Successful adaptation depends not only on strategies but also on how human resources respond to these transformations. This study analyzes the relationship between work engagement and readiness for change among Generation Z employees working as Digital Marketing Specialists in the e-commerce sector. Using a quantitative approach, the study involved 146 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were measured using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES-17) for work engagement and the Readiness for Change Questionnaire (RFCQ II) for readiness for change, with Spearman's Rank correlation method used for analysis. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between work engagement and readiness for change (correlation coefficient = 0.669; p < 0.01), indicating that higher work engagement correlates with greater readiness to embrace change. This study highlights that enhancing work engagement can be a key strategy for organizations to strengthen the readiness of Generation Z employees to face the dynamic challenges of the e-commerce sector.
