Pengaruh Kebersyukuran terhadap Self-Compassion pada Santri Remaja Kelas 12
Abstract
Abstract. Every adolescent inevitably experiences a phase known as the identity crisis. This phase requires individuals to seek and discover their true selves, ultimately forming a stable identity in late adolescence as they prepare for adulthood. Adolescents who successfully establish their identity are considered to be more stable. Gratitude is one of the values taught in Islam and has been "practiced" in daily life dynamics. By cultivating gratitude, individuals can develop self-compassion. This study aims to understand the influence of gratitude on self-compassion among 12th-grade students at Baitul Izzah Islamic Boarding School in Cimahi. The research employs a quantitative method with a non-experimental causal approach. A population study was conducted, involving all 96 students. The measurement tools used in this study include the Islamic Gratitude Scale (UGS-10) developed by Ahmad Rusdi et al. (2021) to assess gratitude, and the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) based on Neff’s (2003) theory to measure self-compassion. The findings indicate a significance value of 0.006 < 0.050 with an R-square value of 0.077, meaning that gratitude contributes 7.7% to the increase in self-compassion among adolescent students.
