Pengaruh Harga Diri Korban KDP terhadap Alasan Tetap Bertahan pada Hubungan
Abstract
Abstract. Dating violence is a form of aggressive or manipulative behavior that occurs in romantic relationships, which can negatively impact the psychological well-being of the victim. However, many victims still stay in abusive relationships which refers to the factors that drive the victim's reasons for staying in the relationship despite the violence. In this context, self-esteem plays an important role in determining how victims perceive themselves and how victims' self-esteem influences this decision. This study aims to understand the influence of dating violence victims' self-esteem on reasons for staying in the relationship. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method on 220 respondents aged 18-25 years old who are currently in or have had a dating violence relationship and reside in West Java. Data were collected through a questionnaire that measured the victim's self-esteem and looked at the reasons for the victim's decision to stay in the relationship. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. This study used the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Decision To Leave Scale measuring instruments. The results of the analysis using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) technique showed that self-esteem influenced the reasons for staying in the relationship by 11.6%, where victims with lower self-esteem strengthened their reasons for staying even though the relationship contained violence, in terms of several aspects.
Abstrak. Kekerasan dalam pacaran adalah bentuk perilaku agresif atau manipulatif yang terjadi dalam hubungan romantis, yang dapat berdampak negatif pada kesejahteraan psikologis korban. Namun, masih banyak korban tetap bertahan pada hubungan kekerasan yang mengacu pada faktor-faktor yang mendorong alasan korban untuk tetap berada dalam hubungan meskipun terdapat kekerasan. Dalam konteks ini, harga diri berperan penting dalam menentukan bagaimana korban memandang dirinya dan bagaimana harga diri korban memengaruhi keputusan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengaruh harga diri korban kekerasan dalam pacaran terhadap alasan tetap bertahan dalam hubungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei pada 220 responden berusia 18-25 tahun yang sedang menjalani atau pernah memiliki hubungan kekerasan dalam pacaran dan berdomisili di Jawa Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang mengukur harga diri korban dan melihat alasan keputusan korban tetap bertahan. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) dan Decision To Leave Scale. Hasil analisis menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Model (SEM) menunjukkan bahwa harga diri memengaruhi alasan tetap bertahan pada hubungan sebesar 11,6% , di mana korban dengan harga diri yang lebih rendah memperkuat alasannya untuk tetap bertahan meski hubungan tersebut terdapat kekerasan , yang ditinjau dari beberapa aspek didalamnya.
