Studi Deskriptif Kesejahteraan Subjektif pada Remaja yang Memiliki Orang Tua Bercerai
Abstract
Abstract. In Indonesia, divorce cases have increased in recent years. Based on several recent studies, divorce has traumatizing effects and negative feelings on adolescents. There is limited research on divorce and its relationship with adolescents' subjective well-being (SWB) in Indonesia. This study aims to provide a description of the SWB of junior high school adolescents who have divorced parents in Bandung City and also includes the emotional feelings they feel. This study involved 102 students from various junior high schools in Bandung City. The sampling technique used was stratified cluster random sampling. The measuring instruments used in this study are from Children's Worlds, namely CW-SWBS5 (Children's Worlds Subjective Well- Being Scale 5) and CW-PNAS (Children's Worlds Positive and Negative Affect Scale). The results showed that the mean SWB score of male students with divorced parents (M = 67.07; SD = 31.68) was significantly higher than that of female students (M = 50.9; SD = 29.73). Male students showed significantly higher positive affect (M = 62.84; SD = 29.06) than female students (M = 46.93; SD = 25.76). Students who had divorced parents were more dominant in middle economic status (81.4%). Overall, junior high school students who have divorced parents in Bandung City have a SWB score (M = 57.21; SD = 31.44), which means it is below the average SWB set-point of 75. It is expected that parents can ensure their children still get full emotional support even in a divorce situation.
