Hubungan Psychological Well-Being dan Job Performance pada Karyawan PT X di Kabupaten Karawang

Abstract. Job performance is one of the key factors in determining the success of an organization. To achieve organizational goals, companies are required to provide optimal welfare to their employees. Based on Tire Production data at PT X, a decrease in production results occurred in 2021-2022 with a difference of 2%. This also happened at the beginning of 2024 which did not reach the production target with a lack of 8,479 pieces of tires. In addition, PT X employees show low psychological well-being characterized by the dimension of environmental mastery, where they have difficulty in managing work affairs, thus hampering their work productivity. Based on this phenomenon, the problems in this study are: (1) How is psychological well-being in PT X employees in Karawang Regency? (2) How is job performance in PT X employees in Karawang Regency? (3) Is there a relationship between psychological well-being and job performance in PT X employees in Karawang Regency? Researchers used the Rank Spearman Correlational analysis technique method using a quantitative approach. The population in this study were employees in the Production Department of PT X in Karawang Regency, totaling 1,100 employees with a sampling technique, namely Simple Random Sampling, obtained a total research sample of 285 employees. The data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis technique. The result of this study is that there is a positive relationship between psychological well-being and job performance in PT X employees in Karawang Regency by 59.4% which is included in the moderate category.
Abstrak. Job perfomance merupakan salah satu faktor kunci dalam menentukan keberhasilan suatu organisasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan organisasi, perusahaan dituntut untuk memberikan kesejahteraan yang optimal kepada karyawan mereka. Berdasarkan data Tire Production pada PT X, penurunan hasil produksi terjadi pada tahun 2021-2022 dengan selisih 2%. Hal tersebut terjadi juga pada awal tahun 2024 yang tidak mencapai target produksi dengan kurangnya 8.479 pieces ban. Selain itu, karyawan PT X menunjukkan kesejahteraan psikologis yang rendah ditandai pada dimensi penguasaan lingkungan, dimana mereka kesulitan dalam mengelola urusan pekerjaan sehingga menghambat produktivitas kerjanya. Berdasarkan fenomena tersebut, maka permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) Bagaimana psychological well-being pada karyawan PT X di Kabupaten Karawang? (2) Bagaimana job performance pada karyawan PT X di Kabupaten Karawang? (3) Apakah terdapat hubungan antara psychological well-being dengan job performance pada karyawan PT X di Kabupaten Karawang?. Peneliti menggunakan metode teknik analisis Rank Spearman Correlasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan di Departemen Produksi PT X Kabupaten Karawang yang berjumlah 1.100 karyawan dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu Simple Random Sampling diperoleh jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 285 karyawan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknis analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara psychological well-being dengan job performance pada karyawan PT X di Kabupaten Karawang sebesar 59,4% yang termasuk kategori sedang.
