Pengaruh Psychological Capital terhadap Work Engagement pada Karyawan PT Givaudan Indonesia

Abstract

Abstract. Surveys show that despite low stress levels, 45% of Indonesian employees face mental well-being challenges that emphasize the importance of psychological capital. Another survey shows that only 24% of employees in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, are actively involved and reflect work engagement challenges in their workplace. This study aims to determine the effect of psychological capital on work engagement among employees of PT Givaudan Indonesia. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with purposive sampling. The participants of this study were employees of PT Givaudan Indonesia in the Production Division (N = 65 92.3% male; 7.7% female). Psychological capital was measured using the psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) and work engagement was measured using the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale-9 (UWES-9). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of psychological capital on work engagement among employees of PT Givaudan Indonesia. The results showed that there was a significant effect between psychological capital on work engagement among employees of PT Gvaudan Indonesia with an R2 of 0.673. In addition, the results of the analysis conducted showed that the influence of psychological capital on work engagement was 67.3%.

Abstrak. Survey menunjukkan bahwa meskipun tingkat stres rendah, 45% karyawan Indonesia menghadapi tantangan kesejahteraan mental yang menekankan pentingnya psychological capital. Survey lain menunjukkan bahwa hanya 24% karyawan di Asia Tenggara, termasuk Indonesia, yang terlibat aktif dan mencerminkan tantangan work engagement di tempat kerjanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara psychological capital terhadap work engagement pada karyawan PT Givaudan Indonesia. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dengan purposive sampling. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah karyawan PT Givaudan Indonesia bagian Divisi Produksi (N= 65 92,3% laki-laki; 7,7% Perempuan). Psychological capital diukur mengunakan alat ukur psychological capital questionnaire (PCQ) dan work engagement diukur dengan menggunakan utrecht work engagement scale-9 (UWES-9). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara psychological capital terhadap work engagement pada karyawan PT Givaudan Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara psychological capital terhadap work engagement pada karyawan PT Gvaudan Indonesia denga R2 sebesar 0,673. Selain itu hasil analisa yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh psychological capital terhadap work engagement
