Pengaruh Work Family Conflict terhadap Work Stress pada Guru Wanita di SD Negeri Kota Bandung
Abstract
Abstrac: An increasing number of women are working, including as teachers, which presents challenges in balancing work and family responsibilities. Female teachers in public elementary schools face significant duties, such as teaching, managing extracurricular activities, and administrative tasks, which trigger Work-Family Conflict (WFC). This imbalance can lead to increased work stress, reduced productivity, and heightened anxiety. A study involving 180 married female teachers in Bandung utilized the Work-Family Conflict Scale (Greenhaus & Carlson) and the Job Stress Scale (Parker & DeCotiis). The findings revealed that WFC has a positive and significant impact on work stress, contributing 24.7% to its increase. These results highlight WFC as a key factor influencing work stress, emphasizing the need for effective strategies to maintain role balance and mitigate its effects.
Abstrak: Semakin banyak wanita bekerja, termasuk sebagai guru, menghadapi tantangan membagi waktu antara pekerjaan dan keluarga. Guru wanita di sekolah dasar negeri memiliki tanggung jawab besar, seperti mengajar, mengelola ekstrakurikuler, dan tugas administratif, yang memicu Work Family Conflict (WFC). Ketidakseimbangan ini dapat meningkatkan stres kerja, memengaruhi produktivitas, dan memicu kecemasan Penelitian terhadap 180 guru wanita menikah di Bandung menggunakan Work-Family Conflict Scale (Greenhaus & Carlson) dan Job Stress Scale (Parker & DeCotiis) menemukan bahwa WFC berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap stres kerja, dengan kontribusi sebesar 24,7%. Hasil ini menunjukkan WFC sebagai faktor utama yang memengaruhi stres kerja, sehingga diperlukan strategi efektif untuk menjaga keseimbangan peran dan mengurangi dampaknya.
