Pengaruh Work-Family Conflict terhadap Work Engagement pada Polisi Wanita
Abstract
Abstract. Female police officers face dual roles as professionals and housewives. They are expected to be fully committed to their police duties while also fulfilling family responsibilities. This dual burden can lead to work-family conflict, where the demands of work and home create role strain. Police work requires strong work engagement, including dedication, enthusiasm, and focus. However, when work and family demands clash, engagement may decline. This study aims to examine the impact of work-family conflict on work engagement among female police officers. Using a quantitative, non-experimental causality design, the study employed convenience sampling with 138 participants. The Work-Family Conflict Scale by Indah Soca Retno Kuntari (2011) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale by Aulia (2016) were used for measurement. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. Findings indicate a significant relationship between work-family conflict and work engagement. Work-family conflict accounts for a 15% decrease in work engagement among female police officers. This highlights the need for strategies to help policewomen balance their roles, ensuring both professional effectiveness and personal well-being
