Resiliensi sebagai Moderator antara Perundungan dan Kesejahteraan Subjektif pada Siswa SMP
Abstract
Abstract. Bullying negatively affects the subjective well-being of junior high school students. This study examines the moderating role of resilience in the relationship between bullying and subjective well-being among students in Bandung City. Resilience refers to the ability to utilize psychological, social, cultural, and physical resources to maintain well-being and adapt to adversity. A total of 254 students from various junior high schools were selected through stratified cluster random sampling. This research employed a quantitative cross-sectional survey, utilizing instruments such as the School Bullying scale, CW-SWBS5, and CYRM-R Plus Spirituality and Religiosity. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, compare means, and ANOVA. Findings revealed that students who experienced bullying had significantly lower subjective well-being (M = 63.91; SD = 28.52) at (p < .01), falling below the 75-point benchmark from Cummins' theory. Furthermore, resilience significantly moderated the bullying-subjective well-being relationship, particularly in spirituality (p = .023) and religiosity (p = .021). These results suggest that resilience, especially in spiritual and religious aspects, may help mitigate the adverse effects of bullying on students' well-being.
