Pengaruh Job Crafting terhadap Work Engagement pada Karyawan Desain Grafis di Kota Bandung
Abstract
Abstract. Job crafting is an effort made actively by individuals to balance job demands and job resources. Through job crafting efforts, work engagement can increase resulting in good work productivity. This study aims to determine how much influence job crafting has on work engagement in graphic design employees. The research method used is quantitative with 128 graphic design employees in Bandung City. This study used the job crafting scale (JCS) measuring instrument from Tims et al., (2012) which was adapted by researchers and the utrecht work engagement scale (UWES) measuring instrument from Schaufeli & Bakker which was adapted by Aryanti et al., (2020). The results found 99.2% of graphic design employees have high job crafting and 99.2% of graphic design employees have high work engagement. The effect of job crafting on work engagement in this study is 69.8%. The results of increasing social job resources have the highest significant effect on work engagement.
Abstrak. Job crafting merupakan upaya yang dilakukan secara aktif oleh individu untuk menyeimbangkan job demand dan job resources. Melalui upaya job crafting, work engagement dapat meningkat sehingga menghasilkan produktivitas kerja yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh job crafting terhadap work engagement pada karyawan desain grafis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek 128 karyawan desain grafis di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan alat ukur job crafting scale (JCS) dari Tims et al., (2012) yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti dan alat ukur utrecht work engagement scale (UWES) dari Schaufeli & Bakker yang diadaptasi oleh Aryanti et al.,(2020). Hasil penelitian ditemukan 99,2% karyawan desain grafis memiliki job crafting yang tinggi dan 99,2% karyawan desain grafis memiliki work engagement yang tinggi. Pengaruh job crafting terhadap work engagement pada penelitian ini sebesar 69,8%. Hasil increasing social job resources memiliki pengaruh signifikan paling tinggi terhadap work engagement.
