Pengaruh Transformational Leadership terhadap Work Engagement pada Pegawai KPP Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang
Abstract
Abstract.The aim of this research is to see the effect of transformational leadership on work engagement among 95 employees at KPP Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang. The theoretical concepts used are Bass theory (1985) to explain the concept of transformational leadership and the theory of Schaufeli et al. (2002) to explain the concept of work engagement. The research method used was a non-experimental quantitative cross-sectional using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The measuring instrument used in this research is a transformational leadership measuring instrument constructed by researchers based on Bass theory (1985) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale which has been modified by Aryanti et al. (2021). The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis technique. The research results show that there is a significant positive influence of transformational leadership on work engagement of 56.2% (R Square = .562). This shows that the higher the transformational leadership at KPP Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang, the higher the work engagement of the employees.
Abstrak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh transformational leadership terhadap work engagement pada 95 pegawai di KPP Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang. Konsep teori yang digunakan yakni teori Bass (1985) untuk menjelaskan konsep transformational leadership dan teori Schaufeli et al. (2002) untuk menjelaskan konsep work engagement. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross-sectional kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur transformational leadership yang dikonstruksi oleh peneliti berdasarkan teori Bass (1985) dan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Aryanti et al. (2021). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya pengaruh positif yang signifikan dari transformational leadership terhadap work engagement sebesar 56,2 % (R Square = .562). Hal ini menunjukan bahwa semakin tinggi transformational leadership pada KPP Pratama Surabaya Karangpilang, maka semakin tinggi work engagement pegawainya.
