Abstract. Infectious diseases are caused by microorganisms like bacteria and viruses that can harm the human body. Antibiotics are common treatments for these diseases, but their misuse can lead to antibiotic resistance. Using plants as medicine can help reduce these side effects and combat resistance. Moringa (Moringa oleifera L.) is a plant known for its medical benefits. Research shows that Moringa leaves can act as an antibacterial agent, with various parts of the plant—leaves, bark, seeds, and flowers—exhibiting antibacterial activity against harmful bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. The effectiveness comes from bioactive compounds like flavonoids and alkaloids found in Moringa.
