Abstract

Abstract. Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) is the most common type of lung cancer, with the majority of patients newly diagnosed at stage III. Platinum-based combination chemotherapy (platinum doublet) is the primary systemic treatment option for controlling disease progression. This study aims to determine the profile of platinum-based treatment and the characteristics of stage III NSCLC patients at Hospital X. This study employed a retrospective observational design using a cohort approach. The sample was selected using total sampling from secondary medical record data of stage III NSCLC patients who met the inclusion criteria and received their fourth cycle of platinum-based chemotherapy. The results showed that of the 90 patients, the majority were male (76.7%) and aged 60 years or older (63.3%). The majority of patients are employed (90.0%), had a history of smoking (51.1%), had adenocarcinoma as the histopathological type (58.8%), were in stage III C (52.2%), and had comorbidities such as COPD or other lung diseases (48.7%). The most commonly used platinum-based chemotherapy regimens were carboplatin + paclitaxel (53.3%), followed by cisplatin + pemetrexed (20.0%), and cisplatin + paclitaxel (16.7%). These findings provide an overview of patient characteristics and platinum-based treatment profiles to inform improved treatment strategies for patients with stage III NSCLC.

Abstrak. Kanker paru jenis karsinoma bukan sel kecil (KPKBSK) merupakan jenis kanker paru terbanyak, di mana sebagian besar pasien baru terdiagnosis pada stadium III. Kemoterapi kombinasi berbasis platinum (platinum-doublet) menjadi pilihan utama terapi sistemik untuk mengontrol progresivitas penyakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil pengobatan berbasis platinum dan karakteristik pasien KPKBSK stadium III di Rumah Sakit X. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional retrospektif dengan pendekatan kohort. Sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling dari data sekunder rekam medis pada pasien KPKBSK stadium III yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan menerima kemoterapi berbasis platinum siklus ke-4.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 90 pasien, didominasi oleh laki-laki (76,7%) dengan kelompok usia ≥ 60 tahun (63,3%). Mayoritas pasien bekerja (90,0%), memiliki riwayat merokok (51,1%), dengan jenis histopatologi adenokarsinoma (58,8%), stadium III C (52,2%), dan memiliki komorbiditas PPOK atau penyakit paru lainnya (48,7%). Kelompok kemoterapi berbasis platinum yang banyak digunakan adalah kelompok carboplatin + paclitaxel (53,3%), diikuti cisplatin + pemetrexed (20,0%), dan cisplatin + paclitaxel (16,7%). Temuan ini memberikan gambaran umum terkait karakteristik pasien dan profil pengobatan berbasis platinum untuk meningkatkan strategi pengobatan pada pasien KPKBSK stadium III.
