Abstract

Abstract. Heart failure is a chronic clinical syndrome with a high rehospitalization rate and contributes significantly to increased morbidity and mortality. Dapagliflozin is recommended as one of the therapeutic options for heart failure because it has been shown to improve clinical outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate rehospitalization rates associated with dapagliflozin-containing therapy regimens and to assess physical and laboratory parameters in patients with heart failure at RSUD Welas Asih, West Java Province, during the 2024–2025 period. This retrospective observational study used medical record data from patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The evaluated parameters included Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF), blood pressure, heart rate, peripheral edema, troponin, and hemoglobin. Of the 144 patients, 35 experienced rehospitalization, whereas 109 did not. The results showed that dapagliflozin-containing therapy regimens were associated with lower rehospitalization rates. Therefore, dapagliflozin-containing therapy has the potential to improve clinical outcomes and reduce the risk of rehospitalization in patients with heart failure.

Abstrak. Gagal jantung merupakan sindrom klinis kronis dengan angka rehospitalisasi yang tinggi serta berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan morbiditas dan mortalitas. Dapagliflozin direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu terapi gagal jantung karena dapat memperbaiki luaran klinis pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan angka rehospitalisasi berdasarkan regimen terapi yang mengandung dapagliflozin serta mengevaluasi parameter fisik dan laboratorium pada pasien gagal jantung di RSUD Welas Asih Provinsi Jawa Barat periode 2024–2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain observasional retrospektif dengan data rekam medis pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Parameter yang dievaluasi meliputi Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction (LVEF), tekanan darah, nadi, edema perifer, troponin, dan hemoglobin. Dari 144 pasien, sebanyak 35 pasien mengalami rehospitalisasi dan 109 pasien tidak mengalami rehospitalisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa regimen terapi yang mengandung dapagliflozin berhubungan dengan angka rehospitalisasi yang lebih rendah. Dengan demikian, pemberian terapi yang mengandung dapagliflozin berpotensi memberikan luaran klinis yang lebih baik dan menurunkan risiko rehospitalisasi pada pasien gagal jantung.
