Abstract

Abstract. Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria where one of the keys to successful treatment is adherence. There have been many in vitro studies conducted from Asteraceae plants that can be used to treat tuberculosis in several countries. This study aims to determine Asteraceae plants that have antibacterial activity against the growth of bacteria that cause tuberculosis. The research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the keywords "antibacterial Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Asteraceae". The results obtained from several studies were 20 plants of the Asteraceae family showed an inhibition zone against Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria.

Abstrak. Tuberkulosis adalah suatu penyakit kronik menular yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis dimana kepatuhan pasien merupakan salah satu kunci keberhasilan pengobatan pada pasien tuberkulosis (adherence). Telah banyak penelitian secara in vitro yang dilakukan dari tanaman Asteraceae yang dapat digunakan untuk mengobati tuberkulosis di beberapa negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tanaman suku Asteraceae yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menggunakan kata kunci Kata kunci yang digunakan yaitu “antibacterial Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Asteraceae”. Hasil yang didapatkan dari beberapa penelitian yaitu 20 tanaman famili Asteraceae menunjukkan adanya konsentrasi hambat minimum terhadap bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
