Abstract

Abstract. Urinalysis is a routine examination in medical check-up (MCU) that can detect various diseases in the early stages. This study aims to analyze the prevalence of urinalysis abnormalities in MCU patients at Al Islam Hospital in 2020─2023. Research methods: descriptive design with retrospective study, using medical record data of MCU patients. An overview of the characteristics of the MCU results, the majority of them are 18─59 years old and female. On the macroscopic examination of urine, abnormalities were found: hematuria 0.1-0.4%. specific gravity (>1.035) 24.1─38%. And pH (>8) 4.3─17.9%. On microscopic examination of urine, abnormalities were found: erythrocytes (>30.7) 2.4─10.8%, leukocytes (>39) 3.8─12.4%, epithelial cells (>45.6) 1.0─3.3%, bacteria (>130.7) 13.1─40%, crystalline (+) 6%, cylindrical (+) 0.1%. In the urine chemistry examination, abnormalities were found: nitrite (+) 0.4─5%, urine protein (+)1.3─1.6%, glucose (+) 0.4─5%, ketones (+) 1.8─3.9%, bilirubin (+) 0.3%, blood (+)8.9─14.1%, leukocytes (+)1.7─15.5%. The majority of the population was 18─59 years old and the gender was female. In the macroscopic examination of urine abnormalities of the highest specific gravity (>1,035), the microscopic examination of urine abnormalities of bacteria (>130.7), and the chemical examination of urine abnormalities of the highest leukocytes (+). Further research is needed to identify risk factors and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions.
