Abstract

Abstract. Tear gas is also called Riot control agent (RCA) is a non-lethal chemical warfare agent (CWA) that can quickly cause sensory irritation or physicalparalysis in humans. Pharmacodynamics in respiration occurs due to foreign objects (tear gas) entering the respiratory tract resulting in interactions between namino acids, ligands and receptors in the respiratory tract, thus creating biological events. The aim of this research is to determine the pharmacodynamic impact of tear gas on human breathing. The research method used is prism diagram. The samples used were tiga original research articles from international journals relating to the pharmacodynamic influence of tear gas on human breathing. Inclusion criteria include research articles that have been published in international journals and accessed from the Pubmed, ScienceDirect, Springerlink, Proquest, and Taylor and Francis databases. Keywords and queries. Exclusion criteria include discrepancies between the title, abstract, and conformity with Population, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Study (PICOS) criteria, articles that are duplicates with other databases, and articles that are paid for. Pharmacodynamics of tear gas affects human breathing and can cause several diseases such as lung, skin and eye injuries. The dangers of tear gas if it enters the respiratory tract include a stinging or burning sensation in the nose, tight chest, sore throat, coughing, dyspnea, bronchoconstriction accompanied by wheezing, difficulty breathing with acute and chronic pain, and can cause lung injury.

Keywords dan query.
