Gambaran Kualitas Tidur pada Siswa Kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis

Abstract

Abstract. The importance of good sleep quality for high school students is crucial, enabling them to focus during learning activities. However, various factors, such as environmental, psychosocial, and lifestyle factors, can influence the sleep quality of students, leading to shorter sleep durations. This study aims to assess the sleep quality among 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis. The research adopts a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach, conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis. The population consists of 71 10th-grade students, and random sampling is employed as the sampling technique. Data collection occurred between August and November 2023. The research instrument is a modified version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, validated by the researcher. The study reveals that among the 71 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis, the majority (74%) have good sleep quality, while 24% experience poor sleep quality. The majority of respondents experience good sleep quality, suggesting the importance of maintaining this quality.

Abstrak. Pentingnya kualitas tidur yang baik pada siswa SMA, sehingga siswa dapat fokus saat mengikuti pembelajaran. Namun masih banyak fator yang mempengaruhi kualitas tidur siswa seperti, faktor lingkungan, psikososial, dan gaya hidup dapat berkontribusi pada waktu tidur yang lebih singkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas tidur pada Siswa Kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 71 siswa kelas X. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu random sampling. Pengumpulan data berlangsung pada bulan Agustus-November 2023. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah instrumen Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index yang dimodifikasi oleh peneliti dan sudah dilakukan uji validitas. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 71 responden siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Ciamis sebagian besar memiliki kualitas tidur baik sebanyak 54 orang (74%) dan siswa yang memiliki kualitas tidur buruk sebanyak 17 orang (24%). Sebagian besar responden mengalami kualitas tidur yang baik, sehingga disarankan untuk mempertahankan kualitas tidur.
