Abstract. The spread of hoaxes on social media, especially Instagram, requires the presence of verification channels that not only refute misinformation, but also educate users to be able to read sources, examine evidence, and critically assess the content of messages. This study aims to analyze the media literacy practices carried out by West Java Saber Hoaks through the @jabarsaberhoaks Instagram account, media literacy content packaging strategies, and the peculiarities of the account compared to local government accounts or other regional saber hoaxes. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach of Robert K. Yin and the constructivism paradigm. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews with five informants (two key informants and three supporting informants), observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that the practice of media literacy is carried out through issue monitoring, fact checking, using credible sources, preparing clarifications, categorizing hoaxes, and educating the public. The content is packaged by considering the urgency and impact of the issue, using concise and communicative language, clear information structures, and visual formats in the form of infographics, carousels, Stories, and Reels. The peculiarity of @jabarsaberhoaks account lies in the integration of the functions of fact-checking, clarification, education, complaint services, public interaction, and government communication. Thus, @jabarsaberhoaks not only functions as a government information media, but also as an anti-hoax literacy media that is corrective, preventive, participatory, adaptive, and sustainable.
