Abstract

Abstrac. This study examines the etiquette of seeking knowledge found in Surah Al-Kahfi (verses 66–70) and its relevance to contemporary education. The research aims to identify the values regarding the etiquette of seeking knowledge contained in these verses and to explore their application within the context of modern education. A qualitative research method was employed, utilizing thematic exegesis (*tafsir maudhu’i*) and drawing upon both classical and contemporary exegetical sources. The findings indicate that Surah Al-Kahfi verses 66–70 embody values such as humility, patience, respect for the teacher, refraining from interrupting explanations before they are concluded, and adherence to learning guidelines. These values hold significant relevance for contemporary education, particularly in shaping student character and fostering sound learning ethics amidst the challenges of the digital era. This study is intended to serve as a reference for educators, students, and education observers in instilling the etiquette of seeking knowledge in accordance with Islamic teachings.
