Peran organisasi santri IP4A dalam pembinaan Kedisiplinan berbahasa Arab Inggris melalui Kegiatan Third Hour Of Conversation di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ittihad Cianjur

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the role of IP4A student organizations in fostering Arabic and English language discipline through the Third Hour Of Conversation activity at Al-Ittihad Islamic Boarding School Cianjur. The focus of the study is directed at the form of roles carried out by IP4A student organizations, especially the language Division, the impact of the organization’s role as a facilliator of activities, as well as various supporting and inhibiting factors in the coaching process. This study uses a qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method. Data was obtained through observation, interview, and documentation techniques involving student council coaches, organizational administrators, and some student as research informants. The result of the research show that the IP4A student organization, especially the language division, in providing guidance in the field, this role contributes to diresting the behavior of students so that they are formed into discipline responsible and compliant students with rules. The impact that can seen is an increase in student’s compliance with the rules and desrease in the rote of language violations among students. This activity is supported by several factors including support from the Islamic boarding school, student council coaches, and cooperation between divisions in the organization, so as to obtain a positive response from student. The factors inhibiting the role of IP4A student organizations are the influence of the friendship of the language division student organization in the aspect of supervision students. The novelty of this research lies in the role of student organizations as coaches who carry out language discipline through activities that are carried out continuously in the pesantren environment

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji peran organisasi santri IP4A dalam membina kedisiplinan berbahasa Arab dan Inggris melalui kegiatan Third Hour Of Conversation di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ittihad Cianjur. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada bentuk peran yang dijalankan organisasi santri IP4A khususnya Divisi Bahasa, dampak adanya peran organisasi sebagai pembina kegiatan, serta berbagai faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam proses pembinaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitik. Data diperoleh melalui Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan pembina OSIS, pengurus organisasi, serta Sebagian santri sebagai informan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa organisasi santri IP4A khususnya Divisi Bahasa dalam memberikan pembinaan berupa bimbingan, pengawasan, dan pelaksanaan kegiatan dilapangan, Peran tersebut berkontribusi dalam mengarahkan perilaku santri agar terbentuk menjadi santri yang disiplin, tanggung jawab serta patuh terhadap aturan. Dampak yang terlihat yaitu meningkatnya kepatuhan santri terhadap aturan serta adanya penurunan tingkat pelanggaran bahasa pada santri. kegiatan ini, didukung oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya dukungan dari pihak pondok pesantren, pembina OSIS, serta kerja sama antar Divisi dalam organisasi, sehingga memperoleh respon positif dari santri. Faktor penghambat peran organisasi santri IP4A yaitu pengaruh lingkungan pertemanan, serta keterbatasan organisasi santri Divisi Bahasa dalam aspek pengawasan kepada santri. Kebaharuan penelitian ini terletak pada peran organisasi santri sebagai pembina yang melaksanakan kedisiplinan berbahasa melalui kegiatan yang dilakukan secara berkelanjutan di lingkungan pesantren.
