Implementasi Program Pendidikan Karakter untuk Meningkatkan Kedisiplinan siswa di SMP Al-Ma'soem Jatinangor

Abstract

Character education is a basic value that the nation's children need to become quality individuals. BAKU (Good and Strong) character education is a superior program at Daaruttauhiid Middle School Bandung which is designed to shape students into individuals who are academically intelligent, have noble character and have good social attitudes. This program integrates values ​​such as honesty, sincerity, humility, discipline, courage and resilience into (Abdillah, 2019)various aspects of school life, including learning, extracurricular activities and daily interactions. In line with the school's vision as an institution with a character based on monotheism, BAKU character education aims to give birth to a generation of rahmatan lil alamin who are faithful, devout, independent, reason critically and have noble character. The research method chosen is to use a descriptive qualitative method by analyzing data that has been collected from interviews, observation and documentation. Program implementation is carried out through routine activities such as morning assembly, habitual worship, mentoring, and life skills training based on Islamic values. A holistic approach involving teachers as role models, as well as family and environmental support, has succeeded in creating positive changes in students' attitudes, habits and thinking patterns. The result is a generation that not only excels academically but is also able to adapt to current developments and contribute positively to society. BAKU character education also supports national education goals in developing student character and forming a society with noble morals.
