Efektivitas Metode Maqdis dalam Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Al-Qur’an pada Santri di SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut

Abstract

Abstract. The fact that a lot of pupils still misread the Qur'an is what inspired this study. This is clear from the researcher's tests and observations, which revealed that a large number of pupils still misread the Qur'an. This study's goals are to: (1) ascertain the students' reading comprehension of the Qur'an prior to applying the Maqdis method; (2) describe how the Maqdis method is implemented to improve students' reading comprehension at SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut; and (3) evaluate the Maqdis method's efficacy in raising students' reading comprehension of the Qur'an at SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut. This study uses a non-equivalent control group design and a quasi-experimental methodology with a quantitative approach. The Maqdis approach is used as part of the treatment to help the pupils become more proficient Qur'anic readers. Students completed a pretest before to using the Maqdis technique. The experimental class's average pretest score was 51.84, while the control group's average score was 54.98. Following the pretest, the Maqdis approach was used to treat the students. As evidenced by the experimental class's average posttest score of 76 and the control class's score of 58, the students' comprehension of the Qur'an significantly improved during the course of the treatment. Therefore, it can be said that SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut students' comprehension of the Qur'an has improved as a result of the Maqdis approach.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada banyaknya santri yang masih melakukan kesalahan dalam membaca Al-Qur'an. Berdasarkan observasi dan tes yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, ditemukan bahwa masih banyak santri yang melakukan kesalahan dalam membaca Al-Qur'an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an santri sebelum menggunakan metode Maqdis, (2) menjelaskan pelaksanaan metode Maqdis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an santri di SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut, dan (3) mengukur efektivitas metode Maqdis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an santri di sekolah tersebut. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen, menggunakan desain non-equivalent control group design. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa penerapan metode Maqdis untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an. Sebelum metode Maqdis diterapkan, santri diberikan pretest. Hasil rata-rata nilai pretest untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 51,84, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh rata-rata 54,98. Setelah penerapan metode Maqdis, terlihat peningkatan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an pada santri, dengan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen mencapai 76, sementara kelas kontrol hanya 58. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode Maqdis efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an pada santri di SDIT Persis Tarogong Garut.
