Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Produksi Sepatu PDL dan PDH untuk Meminimalkan Biaya Inventory Bahan Baku di PT. Foximas Mandiri

Abstract

Abstract. PT. Foximas Mandiri is a company engaged in garment fabrication. The market response strategy used is Make to Stock for store sales and Make to Order for cooperation with government agencies. The problem that occurs is the production process is disrupted/stopped due to the late arrival of raw materials. This results in late delivery of products to consumers. Inventory planning is carried out so that the production process can run optimally to prevent overstock which will cause waste or stockout which can cause delays in delivery of goods to the point of not being able to meet customer demand. Based on the background of the problem above, the formulation of the problem is obtained, namely: 1) What are the problems of production activities at PT. Foximas Mandiri that result in late delivery of products? 2) How is production planning and control at PT. Foximas Mandiri? In this study, PDL raw material inventory control will be carried out using the Material Requirement Planning approach. It is expected that the results of this method can be one of the considerations in determining the optimal quantity in ordering raw materials to minimizes inventory costs and the risk of loss from raw material procurement. Based on the recapitulation of the Total inventory cost calculation, the proposal with the Economic Order Interval (EOI) model gets the smallest total inventory cost value of Rp. 4,543,831,254 so that the difference obtained from the current total inventory cost and the proposed total inventory cost is Rp. 14,579,141.

Abstrak. PT. Foximas Mandiri adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang fabrikasi garment. Strategi respon pasar yang digunakan yaitu Make to Stock (MTS) untuk penjualan toko dan Make to Order (MTO) untuk kerja sama dengan instansi pemerintahan. Permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu proses produksi yang terganggu/terhenti karena terlambatnya kedatangan bahan baku. Hal tersebut mengakibatkan pengiriman produk kepada konsumen menjadi terlambat. Perencanaan persediaan dilakukan agar proses produksi dapat berjalan secara optimal untuk mencegah terjadinya overstock yang akan menyebabkan pemborosan ataupun stockout yang dapat menyebabkan keterlambatan pengiriman barang hingga tidak dapat memenuhi permintaan customer. Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan diatas maka didapatkan rumusan masalah yaitu: 1) Apa yang menjadi permasalahan kegiatan produksi di PT. Foximas Mandiri yang mengakibatkan terjadinya keterlambatan pengiriman produk? 2) Bagaimana perencanaan dan pengendalian produksi di PT. Foximas Mandiri? Dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan pengendalian persediaan bahan baku PDL menggunakan pendekatan Material Requirement Planning. Setelah melakukan pengendalian persediaan, maka akan dilakukan analisis mengenai total inventory cost yang dikeluarkan oleh perusahaan. Diharapkan hasil dari metode ini dapat menjadi salah satu pertimbangan dalam menentukan kuantitas yang optimal dalam melakukan pemesanan bahan baku untuk meminimalisir biaya persediaan dan resiko kerugian dari pengadaan bahan baku. Berdasarkan rekapitulasi perhitungan Total Inventory Cost, usulan dengan model Economic Order interval (EOI) mendapatkan nilai total inventory cost paling kecil sebesar Rp. 4.543.831.254 sehingga selisih yang didapatkan dari total inventory cost kondisi saat ini dengan total inventory cost usulan sebesar Rp. 14.579.141.
