Abstract. This article explores the dynamics of communications in the Fake Runners Bandung community, which positions itself not only as a sports group but also as a social, cultural, and lifestyle space. The research aims to describe how verbal and nonverbal communication constructs collective identity and solidarity in the community’s practices. The study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach under a constructivist paradigm. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review. The results show that verbal communication takes the form of pre-run briefings, internal meetings, external coordination, and the use of main and secondary jargon, which strengthen collective meaning. Nonverbal communication emerges through hand signs, eye contact, running rhythm, visual attributes, and the use of bright colors that serve both safety and symbolic identity. The findings suggest that Fake Runners Bandung perceive running as a medium of self-expression, social identity formation, and urban lifestyle representation, transcending competitive or performative sport paradigms.
